Learn more about Limbach's commitment to our people and career opportunities through our internal resources and employee perspectives.We carry out our vision and purpose through a commitment to our four core values:We CareWe Act with IntegrityWe Are InnovativeWe Are AccountableBenefits & PerksBase salary range of $118K - $140KFull portfolio of medical, dental, and vision benefits, along with 401K plan and company matchHSA, FSA, and life insurance offeringsMaximize your professional development with our Learning & Engagement teamEngage in our "We Care" culture through our ERGs, brought to you by EMBRACECareer pathing flexibility and mobilityWho You AreAs Area Service Manager, you will be responsible for the traditional mechanical service component of the integrated ODR business including preventative maintenance, fixed price work orders, reactionary T&M and service projects performed by technicians through an assigned staff of service coordinators, associate area service managers and service technicians.Some examples of the work you might do includes:Assumes responsibility for achievement of area sales and operational gross profit and cash management goalsMaintains and retains ODR customer relationships through quality of service, timely execution and proper staffingManages staff to maximize pull-through opportunities and margins from captive accountsManages maintenance contract execution for timeliness, quality and profitability through proper pre-planning, staffing and schedulingRenews maintenance contracts within the given service area at target escalation and pricing levels to meet target marginsDevelops excellent customer relationships by positioning the company as the first call for technical service and maintenance needsMaintains high visibility with customers and makes frequent visits in support of the account objectivesEnsures the service team plans and manages work with understanding of the customer's ongoing operations to minimize disruptionPartners with the service coordinator and field operations staff to plan daily and weekly manpower and technician needsUnderstands the company's broader MEP solutions capabilities and collaborates to ensure a seamless customer experience and capture additional wallet shareCollaborates with Account Executives, Account Managers, Sales Representatives, Special Projects Managers and major project operations teamsParticipates in strategic account planning to increase recurring revenue from captive accountsEnsures all purchasing is completed in a timely and cost-effective mannerPossesses strong financial acumen and command of departmental profitabilityMaintains accuracy of business records, reports, logs, and data, and submits regular reports to managementEnsures all work is billed promptly upon completion or per contract termsMonitors payment of customer invoices and follows up on receivables over 60 days past dueHires, trains, and develops staff capable of performing the work required to meet customer commitmentsSupervises staff to ensure all jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to the customer's satisfactory standardWhat You Need4+ years of related employment experienceAdvanced knowledge of the HVAC/controls industryStrong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentIntermediate level computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)Capacity to leverage communication/interpersonal skills to develop and enhance business relationshipsMust have a valid driver's licenseMust have a driving record compliant with the Company's policies and MVR requirements, and consent to ongoing driving record monitoringAbility to travel up to 40% of the time, primarily to local job sitesPreferred QualificationsCollege degree or advanced education preferredExperience in a mentor, supervisory, or management role is a plusFamiliarity with back of house facilities maintenance staff and operationsExperience in technical skilled trades or service execution and MEP equipment and systems diagnostics, maintenance and repairConduct StandardsMaintains appropriate Company confidentiality at all timesProtects the assets of the Company and upholds the Code of Conduct & EthicsCultivates and promotes safety cultureExemplifies the Core Values of the Company (we CARE, we act with INTEGRITY, we are INNOVATIVE, and we are ACCOUNTABLE)Work EnvironmentThis position operates primarily in a professional office environment with standard office equipmentTravel to local job sites may be required, with exposure to conditions typical of a construction sitePhysical DemandsRegularly walk, talk, stand, hear, and perform repetitive motion; maintain visual acuity and manual dexteritySedentary work with occasional lifting up to 10 poundsThis job description describes the general nature of work performed by the individual in this role and is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities.
