Lead, AI Software EngineerCode Red Partners is partnering with a startup at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity. AI changed how software is written and security hasn't caught up. They're closing that gap, giving developers the ability to secure their AI coding the moment it's generated.Fresh off a $25M+ Series A, they're backed by top investors and operator angels in AI and security, with partnerships with leading AI coding platforms in motion. The team has led security at some of the world's largest companies, shaped US cybersecurity policy, and worked on open models in government and academia.About the RoleThis is a senior individual contributor role with technical lead responsibilities. You'll spend most of your time building, while also shaping how the team builds. You'll partner with leadership on architecture and technical direction for core product surfaces, own features from design through production, and set the standard others code to. You'll work closely with founders and early engineers on high leverage decisions about how to build, productionize, and secure AI driven software. This is not a people management role.What You'll DoBuild core product surfaces across the full stack, owning features from design through productionTake point on architecture and technical direction, balancing speed of delivery with long term maintainabilitySet the standard for quality, testing, and reliability, and raise the bar through code and design reviewDesign and productionize AI systems, including LLMs and agents for code generation, validation, and securityShare context and unblock the engineers around you through pairing and technical guidanceWhat We're Looking ForFull-stack engineering experience working with TypeScript, React, and ExpressExperience working with systems and infrastructure including Terraform and AWS, Docker and ECS / KubernetesExperience with integrating and productionizing AI systems such as LLMs and agents for code generation, working with reasoning models, fine-tuning and prompting to generate and validate code, and building evals/benchmarksComfort operating as a technical lead. Setting direction, raising standards, and influencing without authority while staying hands onCompensationBase salary of $250,000 to $325,000, plus meaningful equity.
