Construction Tech I - Dollywood Theme Park - Full Time Year Round

The ideal Construction Tech I will be equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.This role exists to perform tasks that require physical labor on construction sites and to assist construction craft workers, such as electricians, plumbers, Welders, HVAC technicians and carpenters, with a variety of basic tasks.Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.Summary of Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesConstruct, modify, and repair structural systems comprised of, but not limited to, framing, sheathing, roofing, exterior siding, and basic mensuration skills as they pertain to carpentry workAssist with tasks that pertain to electrical, plumbing, Mechanical, HVAC & Carpentry tradesLoad, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specificationsLoad or unload building materials to be used in constructionOperate or tend equipment and machines used in constructionFollow construction plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workersIdentify and use basic construction materialsClean and prepare project sites by removing debris and possible hazardsComplete duties in compliance with local and state laws and OSHA regulationsManagement reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time.Education and Experience RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentMust be at least 18 years oldExperience that demonstrates successful execution of similar duties and responsibilities in a commercial/industrial environmentAt least 6 months of experience in the construction trade requiredMust be able to pass a background check and drug screenAbility to safely operate company vehicles according to companyMust have valid driver's license, proof of auto liability insurance and acceptable motor vehicle driving recordKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAble to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employeesMust be self-motivated and disciplinedMust be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basisMust maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged informationMust have professional appearance with good personal hygieneMust be productive in a fast-paced environmentMust maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidaysMust be sensitive to the needs of our Guests and feel empowered to act to meet their needs within company guidelinesMust be able to utilize effective communication, problem solving, conflict management and interpersonal skillsAble to perform duties consistent with creating a safe and secure environment for hosts and guestsAble to be flexible to handle frequent changes in prioritiesAble to collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver projectsMust function independently with limited supervision and guidanceMust be very well organized with a high attention to detailMust be able to analyze and remember informationAble to work at heights up to and in excess of 150ft.Able to work in confined spacesAble to operate/drive a motor vehicleAble to tolerate approved exposure levels to various chemicals found in cleaning solvents, adhesives, paints, and lubricantsAble to use hand tools, power tools and equipment such as air compressor, skill saw, electric drill, impact wrench, hand wrenches, shovel, etc.Physical Requirements | Working ConditionsLifting and Carrying: Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs utilizing company's safety guidelines for safe liftingMobility: Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hoursRepetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functionsEnvironmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heatCognitive and Sensory Requirements: This position requires strong cognitive skills, including the ability to think critically, solve problems, process and retain information, have attention to detail and communicate effectively using approved communication methods.The Dollywood Company is an equal opportunity employer.
