Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Logistics Consultant to join our Chicago-based team. This role is focused on prospecting, securing, and onboarding new clients, while also maintaining and growing relationships with existing accounts. The ideal candidate will bring energy, strategic thinking, and a proven track record of success in B2B sales within the logistics or supply chain industry.
Key Responsibilities
· Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, cold calling, networking, and referrals.
· Build and manage a sales pipeline of qualified prospects to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
· Present Envoy Logistics’ full suite of 3PL services, including freight brokerage, managed transportation, and tailored logistics solutions.
· Conduct thorough client needs assessments to deliver customized service solutions that improve supply chain efficiency.
· Negotiate rates and service agreements while ensuring competitive and profitable margins.
· Serve as the main point of contact for new and existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
· Collaborate with internal teams including operations, carrier relations, and customer service to ensure seamless execution and high service standards.
· Maintain up-to-date records in the company CRM, tracking all sales activity, customer communications, and opportunity progress.
· Stay informed on market trends, competitor offerings, and industry news to maintain a competitive advantage.
Qualifications
· 3+ years of sales experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or supply chain management, preferably within a 3PL environment.
· Demonstrated ability to win new business and maintain long-term client relationships.
· Strong knowledge of domestic transportation services (LTL, FTL, intermodal, etc.).
· Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
· Goal-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
· Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or related field preferred, but not required.

Base Compensation
Base Salary: $80,000-$110,000
Car Allowance: $550/month
Phone Stipend: $50/month
Commission Structure
Year 1 (New Accounts)
LTL: 4% of Gross Profit
Truckload: 4% of Gross Profit
Parcel: 4% of Gross Profit
International: 4%
Pallets/Shrink Wrap: 10% of Gross Profit
Year 2 (Existing Accounts)
LTL: 2% of Gross Profit
Truckload: 2% of Gross Profit
Parcel: 2% of Gross Profit
International: 2%
Pallets/Shrink Wrap: 5% of Gross Profit
