This is a local driving opportunity with a consistent morning schedule and the unique chance to become a worker-owner.Job SummaryThe ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, and experienced in commercial truck operation. This is a physically active role that involves both driving a 16'–26' box truck and manually handling food waste collection containers.Compensation & ScheduleStarting Pay: $22.00 – $24.00 per hourSchedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 12:00 PMResponsibilitiesVehicle Operation: Safely operate a box truck on designated urban routes to collect organic waste.Physical Collection: Load and unload food waste containers.Inspections: Conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections (fluids, tires, safety equipment, etc.).Navigation: Follow assigned routes using a routing app and maintain accurate service logs.Professionalism: Maintain a courteous demeanor with customers and adhere to all local, state, and federal driving laws.Maintenance: Perform basic preventative maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly. QualificationsLicense: Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience directly related to commercial driving and route service.Technical Skills: Familiarity with GPS systems, routing apps, and basic truck components for inspections.Compliance: Ability to pass a background check and DOT drug screening.Industry Knowledge: Waste management experience is preferred but not required.
