Database & Business Applications Developer

Overview: The Business Applications & Database Developer designs, develops, and supports databases, data integrations, and internal applications that improve the effectiveness of the Sales, Product Management, Product Quality, Marketing, and other business teams.The role combines database development, application development, workflow automation, systems integration, and data-quality management, supporting product management and marketing teams in web research, competitive benchmarking, and analytics tracking. This role is also responsible for operations and data management of the ecommerce site.Location: Onsite: Cold Spring, KYSchedule: Monday-Friday (40 hours a week)Core ResponsibilitiesDatabase Development and ManagementDesign and maintain database schemas, tables, relationships, views, stored procedures, functions, and indexes.Develop databases that support product, vehicle fitment, OEM cross-reference, competitor cross-reference, customer, sales, quality information.Optimize database and application performance.Establish data-validation rules and controls to improve data completeness, consistency, accuracy, and uniqueness.Identify and resolve duplicate, incomplete, outdated, or conflicting records.Maintain data dictionaries, field definitions, database diagrams, and technical documentation.Leverage AI tools to accelerate database development.Business Application DevelopmentDesign, build, test, deploy, and maintain internal business applications for Sales, Product Management, Product Quality, Marketing.Develop applications that support processes such as:New Product Introduction and stage-gate workflowsCustomer product requests and RFQsProduct portfolio and gap analysisProduct cross-reference and fitment managementProduct sample and quality inspection managementWarranty and claim managementApproval workflows, task management, and notificationsCreate intuitive forms, dashboards, search tools, reports, and approval workflows.Build responsive applications that are easy for nontechnical employees to use.Develop prototypes and minimum viable products to validate solutions before broader deployment.Continuously improving applications based on user feedback and changing business needs.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Management, or related discipline.Three or more years of experience in database development, business application development, or a related technical role.Strong SQL skills and experience with relational database design.Experience building internal business applications, workflow applications, or web-based tools.Familiarity with AI tools is a mustExperience in integrating applications with databases, APIs, and third-party systems.Understanding data modeling, data quality, system security, testing, and software-development practices.Ability to translate business processes into practical technical solutions.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and work directly with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.Work AuthorizationApplicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
