This position is intended for use within South Carolina correctional and institutional healthcare environments. The LPN performs duties under the supervision of an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Registered Nurse (RN), licensed physician, or other practitioner authorized by South Carolina law.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Knowledge of practical nursing procedures and human anatomyAbility to maintain attention to detail and make accurate patient observationsAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingAbility to maintain accurate medical documentationKnowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulationsAbility to lift and move patients as requiredRequirements:Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the South Carolina State Board of NursingMay require Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, including CPR, AED use, and ventilations
