Lead Mechanical Engineer

Role: Lead Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in aircraft structures, involving the development, analysis, and documentation of primary and secondary aircraft components.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign aircraft structures using 3D CAD tools, ensuring compliance with military and commercial standards.Collaborate with production to interpret and implement engineering drawings.Prepare and release engineering drawings within schedule and budget constraints.Generate bids for change orders and new pursuits.Review designs with peers, management, and customers, providing technical guidance.Work in aircraft and hangar environments, with physical tasks such as climbing and working inside aircraft.Maintain security clearance eligibility and travel as needed.QualificationsBachelor’s in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering (or equivalent) with extensive related experience or equivalent experience.At least 4 years in aircraft structural design and modifications.Proficiency with 3D CAD programs and Microsoft Office.Preferred SkillsActive DoD Secret clearance and knowledge of military design standards.Experience managing budgets, schedules, and mentoring team members.This role offers opportunities to work on diverse aerospace projects, advancing technical expertise in a dynamic environment dedicated to national security and technological innovation.
