Bond Health - CNA's Needed in Long IslandDays, Evenings and Overnights available!Duties and Responsibilities:ENSURE THE SAFE DELIVERY OF OPTIMAL RESIDENT CARE SERVICES:Accept assignment and make rounds at a minimum at the beginning of the shift, throughout the shift and at the end of the shiftProvide direct resident care according to the CNA daily plan of careTake and record vital signs (temperature, pulse and respiration) and weights as directedAssist with physical examinations, diagnostic tests and nursing procedures as neededReport changes in the residents' condition and the need for modifications to the CNA Care planComplete assignment based on resident, unit needsEscort resident to appointments, activities in or out of the facility as assignedProvide post-mortem care as neededMaintain awareness of the emergency equipment such as suctioning machine and oxygenAssist medical and nursing staff during emergency situationsENSURE RESIDENTS' SAFTEY IN ACCORDANCE WITH RESIDENT SAFETY PROGRAM:Follow the safety features of the plan of careEnsure that all residents have the appropriate ID wristbands on, as well as nametags on closets, beds, doors and wheelchairs. Report omissions to nurseCheck integrity of the sensormatic ID band on designated residentsKeep resident areas free of environmental hazardsFollow facility policy and procedures and the plan of care for the use of restraintsExplain use of call light bell and provide within resident's reachRespond to call light bell promptlyMaintain safety during lifting, moving, positioning and transfer of residents as per facility protocol.Report any equipment or furniture in need of repairReport promptly any resident who is unaccounted for during meals or any other time during the shiftUtilize good judgment in the application of safety and protective devicesPerform Heimlich Maneuver when professional staff is not at the scene.
