Quality Inspector III 1st Shift

Essential Duties & Key ResponsibilitiesManufacture, inspect, and package products following written processes.Use microscope to assemble small components and inspect materials.Utilization of microscopes, magnifiers, and small tools to complete work instructionMeet or exceed daily production standards.Perform in-process quality inspections to standards, readily identify, and escalatequality issues.Comply with all policies, work instructions, procedures,ISO9001 and AS9100 requirements.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.Cross-train across multiple operations within the quality departmentPrepare and submit Fai and FAIR packages to customersPerform other duties as assigned.Skills & CompetenciesAbility to make product judgements based on procedures and drawings.Ability to operate automated inspection equipment.Ability to utilize variable and attribute measuring equipment to determine product acceptance.Ability to work independently and in a team setting.Understanding manufacturing practicesBasic understanding of geometric dimensioning, tolerancing, and blueprint interpretationStrong verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customersStrong reading skills and visual comprehensionFamiliarity with blueprints and schematicsComputer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteGood arithmetic to perform basic computationsAbility to prioritize workloadsKnowledge of AS9100D with ISO 9001: 2015 preferredOther duties as assignedRequiredEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or EquivalentGood hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and ability to complete Assembler Quality System TrainingThree (3) years of work experience in qualityDesiredTrade or vocational school within manufacturing industryPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
