About the job Material Control ManagerDescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Material Control Manager to lead and optimize material flow, inventory control, and KD (Knock-Down) assembly line operations at our automotive manufacturing facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth coordination between production planning, procurement, warehousing, and logistics to support on-time delivery and cost-effective manufacturing.Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Handling & Inventory ManagementDevelop and implement efficient strategies for material handling, storage, and internal transportation.Monitor daily and monthly inventory levels, and implement controls to minimize waste, discrepancies, and holding costs.Oversee warehouse operations, including proper storage and management of out-of-pocket products.KD Assembly Line Management Manage day-to-day operations of the KD assembly line to ensure timely delivery of auto parts aligned with production schedules.Identify and implement process improvements to reduce assembly time and improve overall KD line efficiency.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to streamline KD assembly workflows.Procurement & Cost Optimization Work closely with the procurement team to establish and maintain relationships with reliable, cost-effective suppliers.Identify sourcing opportunities that reduce costs without compromising material quality.Production Planning & Coordination Develop and maintain annual, monthly, and daily production plans based on forecasted demand and customer orders.Analyze capacity and resource constraints to identify potential production bottlenecks and implement solutions.Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams to align production goals and schedules.ERP System & Data Management Support ERP system setup and configuration during the foundational phase of the business.Accurately record and monitor daily production performance and inventory transactions in the ERP system.Facilitate the closing of manufacturing orders and ensure accurate production data entry based on the Production Operation Plan (POP).Maintenance & Downtime Management Track equipment downtime and work with maintenance teams to coordinate activities with minimal disruption to production.Develop strategies to mitigate downtime and enhance equipment reliability.Logistics & Shipping Prepare detailed shipping instructions and manage outbound delivery processes to ensure on-time and accurate fulfillment.Conduct monthly inventory reconciliation and oversee pay-off procedures.QualificationsBachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in material control, production planning, or supply chain operationspreferably in an automotive manufacturing environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.Proficiency with ERP systems and data-driven decision-making.High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English is required.Benefits:401KRelocation BonusInsurance Coverage (Medical, Dental, and Vision)Paid Time Off (PTO)
