Located in Cartersville, GA, Advanced Metal and Welding fosters a collaborative work environment where skilled professionals thrive and innovation is encouraged.Role DescriptionWell established design, engineering, and fabrication shop is looking for a experienced Mechanical CAD Operator for our Autodesk Inventor/AutoCad based design department. Experience with basic machine design, mechanical layout, ductwork layout is needed - this is a general purpose position, you must know your nuts and bolts! Must be experienced with general sheet metal and structural fabricating design and equipment - we have a standard product line but also do a great deal of custom design and build. Self motivated, highly mechanically inclined, and able to turn sketches/ideas from the engineers into designs rapidly. Experienced candidates preferred - ideal candidate would have 5+ years of experience, but a mechanically inclined individual with formal Autodesk training would be considered. Candidate will be tested for skills in both Inventor and AutoCad. Business is good and we need the position filled quickly.QualificationsProficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and technical drawing creation/modificationKnowledge and experience in Mechanical Engineering principles and processesFamiliarity with Inspection methods and techniques to ensure design accuracyHands-on Nuts-and-bolts experience and knowledgeExperience working with industrial standards and specificationsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively within a team and meet project deadlinesAssociate's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field preferred
