With a presence in key markets and a practice built around responsive client service, we offer an environment where attorneys can build substantive experience and leadership presence while working alongside respected practitioners in a team-oriented setting.About the roleThis opportunity is designed for a Partner or senior counsel who wants to lead and expand a civil litigation practice within our national platform. Based on your interests and background, you can structure your practice around Labor & Employment matters or a mix of practice areas if you prefer. The role offers the chance to develop a substantial practice, mentor and grow talent, contribute to firm strategy and client relationships, and build a leadership presence within a firm that values high-quality advocacy, business development, and practical collaboration. This is a hybrid position available in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Philadelphia, New York City, Pittsburgh, Washington, DC, Chicago, Atlanta, Alexandria, Denver, Princeton, San Francisco, Seattle, Sacramento, Wilmington, DE, and Boston.ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a practice in your chosen practice area(s), with responsibility for growth and client developmentManage a substantial docket of civil litigation matters through all phases, from case assessment through resolution and client relationship buildingBuild and maintain significant client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and contribute to practice developmentDraft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and other substantive legal documents with attorney oversight and delegation opportunitiesConduct depositions, court appearances, hearings, and other litigation-facing responsibilitiesPartner with colleagues and firm leadership to develop case strategy and advance client objectivesRepresent clients in a professional, responsive manner across a range of contested mattersMentor and supervise junior attorneys, providing guidance on legal strategy, professional development, and case managementContribute to firm strategy and business development initiatives aligned with practice area goalsSupport litigation needs across insurance defense, commercial/business disputes, coverage issues, and general civil matters as neededMaintain strong case management practices, including organization, communication, and timely progress on assignmentsContribute to a collaborative office and firmwide environment focused on quality advocacy and client serviceRequirements10+ years of litigation experience with demonstrated success in practice leadership, client development, or managing a substantive caseloadEstablished track record in Labor & Employment litigation or a combination of practice areasDemonstrated ability to draft litigation documents such as motions, pleadings, discovery, and legal analysisStrong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skillsAbility to manage cases with increasing independence and exercise sound professional judgmentExperience with depositions, hearings, and court appearances is preferredInterest in building and scaling a civil litigation practice within a national firm platformAbility to work effectively in a hybrid environment from one of the listed office marketsProven business development skills and ability to build and maintain client relationshipsExperience mentoring, supervising, and developing other attorneysMust be currently authorized to work in the United StatesNo sponsorship is available for this positionContact us to applyIf you are interested in joining us and building your practice in a dynamic, collaborative litigation environment, we encourage you to apply.
