VDC Manager

A nationally recognized ENR-ranked general contractor is seeking an experienced VDC Manager to join its growing Atlanta team.This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role on some of the most complex commercial construction projects in the Southeast, including mission-critical, sports, healthcare, aviation, government, and large-scale commercial developments.The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in BIM/VDC processes, MEP coordination, and field implementation while serving as the driving force behind virtual design and construction efforts from preconstruction through project completion.ResponsibilitiesLead the BIM coordination process for assigned projects.Develop and manage project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).Coordinate architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project teams throughout the virtual design process.Facilitate clash detection, model coordination, and issue resolution.Review and manage coordinated MEP drawings and submittals.Support project teams with constructability reviews and risk mitigation strategies.Ensure coordinated models are successfully implemented in the field.Provide QA/QC support throughout project execution.Mentor and support VDC Engineers and other BIM team members.Assist in developing and maintaining company VDC standards and training initiatives.Partner closely with operations, project management, and field leadership teams.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).12+ years of construction industry experience.Strong background in commercial construction VDC/BIM leadership.Experience managing coordination efforts across multiple trades and stakeholders.Proven ability to lead large-scale BIM coordination processes from project kickoff through closeout.Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.Preferred Software ExperienceAutodesk Construction CloudRevitNavisworksBIM 360BluebeamReviztoTeklaMicrosoft Office SuitePreferred Project ExperienceMission Critical / Data CentersSports & Entertainment FacilitiesHealthcareAviationGovernmentHigher EducationLarge Commercial ProjectsWhy Consider This Opportunity?Work with one of the most respected builders in the country.Strong project backlog and long-term stability.Exposure to highly technical and complex projects.Opportunity to influence project delivery through innovation and technology.Collaborative, team-oriented culture with significant opportunities for career growth and advancement.If you're a VDC professional who enjoys solving complex coordination challenges and wants to work on landmark projects, we'd love to speak with you.
