Our team is collaborative, solutions-driven, and focused on safe, efficient execution.Position OverviewThe Company is seeking a General Superintendent to lead all field operations across Federal and Commercial Divisions. This senior leadership role is responsible for project execution, workforce performance, safety compliance, and operational excellence across multiple projects.The ideal candidate brings deep experience in concrete, asphalt paving, grading, and demolition, along with a strong track record managing field teams, coordinating resources, and delivering projects on time and within budget. This role will also help shape field strategy, mentor staff, and support business development efforts.Key ResponsibilitiesField Leadership & OperationsOversee field operations across multiple projectsLead and develop foremen and crewsEnsure safe, efficient execution in compliance with contract requirementsManage equipment, fleet, and driversDrive schedule, productivity, and quality accountabilityProject ExecutionReview plans, specs, and schedules for efficiency and constructabilityCoordinate manpower, equipment, and materialsMonitor progress, mitigate risks, and implement corrective actionsEnsure successful project starts, sequencing, and closeoutsSafety & ComplianceEnforce OSHA and federal safety standards (including EM 385-1-1)Promote a strong safety cultureEnsure compliance with NAVFAC, USACE, and commercial requirementsCost & PerformanceMonitor field productivity and support cost controlAssist with change orders and documentationPartner with Project Managers to align operations with financial goalsClient & Business SupportMaintain strong relationships with clients and agency representativesSupport preconstruction with field insights and constructability inputContribute to proposal strategies and identify new opportunitiesStrategic LeadershipServe as a key leadership team memberDrive continuous improvement in field operationsSupport growth across markets and contract vehiclesQualifications15+ years of construction experience, focused on concrete and asphalt paving10+ years in a Superintendent or senior field roleProven experience managing multiple projects and crewsStrong background in site development, grading, and demolitionFederal project experience (NAVFAC, USACE, DoD) preferredStrong knowledge of construction sequencing and productivityAbility to interpret plans and specificationsExcellent leadership and communication skillsCertifications (Preferred)OSHA 30 (required)EM 385-1-1 familiarity or certificationQuality Control ManagementDesired Skills and ExperienceHUBZone-certified, minority-owned heavy civil contractor based in Southern California.
