Job Details Location: Virginia Start Date: Jan 5, 2026 LOA: 60 days Provider Type Needed: Neonatology Nurse Practitioner Schedule: 24-hour, in-house shifts Responsibilities and Duties Provide advanced clinical care within a NICU Manage NICU and newborn average daily census of 20, with approximately 1,700 annual deliveries Oversee newborn admissions, with a 95 percent admit rate Administer advanced therapies including high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV), high-frequency jet ventilation (HFJV), inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia Support pediatric surgical procedures (excluding cardiac surgery except PDA ligations; no ECMO) Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain thorough documentation and adherence to all clinical protocols Additional Information Current APRN national specialty certification required Active Virginia license required Minimum of a master's degree required At least six months of recent clinical experience in neonatology required Must have been clinically active within the past year Completion of prescreen questionnaire and CV in MM/YYYY format (with all gaps explained) required Required board certification: Neonatology Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
