They create more efficient ways for shippers and carriers to move freight across North America, and they're looking for sharp, energetic people to help them do it.The roleThe sales team is expanding, and this Account Executive role exists to drive new business development across a growing customer base. You'll be responsible for identifying, prospecting, and closing new accounts while managing the full lifecycle of those relationships.You'll work inside sales supporting larger opportunities and clients, with occasional support from your manager on complex deals. This role requires you to move independently while staying connected to the team. You own your piece of the business, and you'll be expected to manage it with both precision and pace.This is not a passive role. When opportunities move, you move with them.What you'll do on a typical dayIdentify and develop new business opportunities through research, trusted sources, and direct outreach to prospectsNegotiate with customers to secure profitable rates, terms, and sustainable relationshipsManage load entry, tracking, reporting, and account activity within internal systemsCoordinate with operations to understand carrier capacity, equipment needs, and logistics requirementsBuild and maintain relationships with customers, ensuring they feel supported and valuedWork collaboratively with teammates to solve problems creatively and close dealsTake ownership of your accounts and work to continuously improve your speed and effectivenessWhat you need to succeedAt a minimum, you'll need:Self-starter mentality: you're comfortable operating independently while staying connected to the teamStrong communication skills: you'll interact with customers, internal teams, and operational partners with clarity and professionalismProblem-solving ability and resourcefulness: you'll find creative ways to structure deals and overcome obstaclesThe ability to prioritize and manage multiple opportunities simultaneouslyEmotional intelligence and genuine relationship-building skills: you'll adapt your approach to different personalities and business stylesHunger and drive: success in this role rewards effort and resultsNice to have:Experience in transportation, logistics, brokerage, or supply chainA background in sales, business development, or account managementCold calling or prospecting experienceA track record that demonstrates resilience and determinationThe detailsLocation: Currently in Downtown Minneapolis with easy access to metro transit (bus and train). The team is relocating to a new office in the West End area in August.Compensation: $40,000–$45,000 base salary (based on experience), plus a commission structure tied to new business development and account performance (day-one commission eligibilityWork environment: 5 days a week in-office.
