Medical Support Assistant-Telework

Sterling Medical is seeking a Full time Medical Support Assistant to support various Veterans Affairs Medical Centers (VAMC) in Washington. Regular business hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm Work location: Telework in Seattle, WA THESE ARE REMOTE POSITIONS BUT REMOTE SUPPORT STAFF WILL BE EXPECTED TO WORK THE SAME HOURS REMOTELY AS THE VA CLINIC STAFF SUMMARY : Provides clerical/administrative support. Schedules appointments, in addition to scheduling requested appointments, this position will call patients to schedule, reschedule, and/or cancel appointments as needed, to include appointments for consult/referral specialty care. Heavy data entry work is involved in this position. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in an advanced or complex clinical setting utilizing numerous advanced patient care systems, scheduling appointments across multiple clinics and coordination of services among a team of medical providers and clinics to include outside agencies. Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, the technical health care process, policy and procedure related to coordination of care.
