We are looking for an Software Engineer - ETL and cloud analytics platform for a global aerospace company. In this role, you will design and develop end-to-end cloud-based full-stack solutions, including scalable ETL pipelines, backend APIs, and front-end applications, to enable data-driven program management and analytics.This is a 12 -month contract (extensions likely), 40-hour-per-week (4-day 10-hour shifts per week) role, this is a Remote role US.This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.ResponsibilitiesIn this role you will design, develop, and implement end to end cloud solutions that span data architecture, ETL pipelines, backend services, and modern front ends. You will partner closely with product management, architecture, and quality assurance teams to define and prioritize requirements and to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet customer needs. Your daily responsibilities will include:Building and supporting full stack applications including responsive UI components, robust back end APIs, and well designed data stores while emphasizing clean data models and reusable services.Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest, transform, and load data from multiple sources (relational, NoSQL, streaming) into cloud based warehouses, ensuring high quality, governed data for downstream analyticsCrafting data centric micro services and APIs (Node.js, Python, GraphQL/REST) that expose well documented contracts, enforce business rules, and enable seamless data exchange across the ecosystem.Analyzing system performance and data flow bottlenecks, then applying optimization strategies (caching, partitioning, async processing) to guarantee high availability, reliability, and horizontal scalability.Collaborating with product owners to translate business goals into technical roadmaps, delivering MVPs that satisfy schedule, cost, and functional constraints.Partnering with internal customers to conceptualize and prototype digital technology solutions that turn data into a strategic asset.Participating in code reviews, enforcing coding standards, and contributing to best practice documentation for data architecture, ETL design, and full stack engineering.As a full stack engineer on our team you will have the opportunity to lead technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and shape our technical strategy and vision. You will be expected to demonstrate deep expertise in data architecture, ETL design, cloud native backend services, full stack development, and DevOps practices, as well as strong communication and leadership skills.RequirementsMust be a U.S. CitizenSoftware development experience within an Agile methodology.6+ years of experience with React, CSS/HTML, TypeScript for front end development.Strong command of JavaScript/Node.js and Python for back end services.Strong Experience with PostgreSQL and designing relational data models.6+ years of experience with building ETL/ELT pipelines and integrating APIs for data ingestion and transformation.Ability to design and develop APIs that efficiently power intuitive UI components and visualizations.Experience working with multiple data sources (databases, data lakes, streaming platforms).Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Docker and Git, and with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
