Login to Apply Warehouse Driver I JOB STATUS: UNTIL FILLED POSTING DATE: 03/25/2026 POSTING NUMBER: 00007712 LOCATION: Warehouse POSITION TITLE: Warehouse Driver I JOB DESCRIPTION Primary Purpose: To assist in the operation of the central warehouse affairs of the District. RESPONSIBILITIES Major Responsibilities and Duties Deliver interoffice mail between campuses. Deliver goods and materials from Central Warehouse. Fill inventory orders from stock. Receipt stock and store on shelf. Assemble and install furniture. Move school property between campuses. Assist in physical inventory. Know and practice the proper safety procedures in operating machinery and equipment as required for the job. Know and practice the proper safety techniques in lifting, climbing and performing other job duties. Correct any unsafe conditions that may exist in the work area. Any conditions that are not correctable by you are to be reported to the supervisor immediately. Attendance at work is an essential function. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designee. EXPERIENCE Minimum Experience Experience in a related field QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education/Certification: High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred Valid Texas driver's license (appropriate type or class) Eligible for coverage under the District's vehicle insurance program Special Knowledge/Skills: Typing and clerical OTHER INFORMATION Equipment Used: Hydraulic tailgate, forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, platform dolly and mobile ladder platform. Working Conditions: Mental/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds and over), pushing, reaching above shoulders, use of fingers, walking, standing, kneeling (intermittent), repeated bending (intermittent), climbing (intermittent), operation of motor vehicle, specific visual requirements (reading product labels, requisitions), specific hearing requirements (oral and phone conversations, noise awareness - engines).
