Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Wound Care Location: Brooklyn, NY 11206 Job Type: Contract Contract: 14 weeks with strong possibility of extension Schedule: 7.5 hours/day | 5 days/week Guaranteed hours per week: 37.50 Pay Range: $3000 to $3500Job SummaryPride Health is seeking an experienced Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract opportunity in Brooklyn, NY. The RN will specialize in wound, ostomy, and continence care, providing comprehensive patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.Responsibilities• Conduct comprehensive wound, ostomy, and continence assessments • Perform focused physical assessments and develop individualized care plans • Recommend appropriate treatments, therapies, and medications • Monitor and document patient responses to wound care treatments • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes • Provide patient and family education on wound care and prevention strategies • Develop and deliver staff education and training programs • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical evaluations • Implement preventative measures for pressure injuries • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to compliance standards • Assist with equipment management (e.g., specialty beds, negative pressure devices) • Identify community resources and support patient care coordinationRequirements• Active New York RN License • BLS Certification (AHA) required • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience • Experience in wound care and colostomy care • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skillsWhy Work with Pride Health?Pride Health offers eligible employees comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance, and hospital indemnity), 401(k) retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto and home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
