Estimator - Excavation and SiteworkWe are seeking an Estimator - Excavation and Sitework to join their team in the Greater Lowell, MA area. This is a key role supporting a steady pipeline of residential and commercial civil projects, offering the opportunity to own the estimating process and directly impact company growth. What You'll Do as the Estimator - Excavation and Sitework: Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive bid proposals for excavation and civil sitework projects Review plans, specifications, and scope documents to ensure accurate pricing Perform quantity takeoffs for site prep, foundations, utilities, drainage, and septic systems Manage multiple bids at various stages of development Coordinate with general contractors, vendors, and internal operations teams during preconstruction Maintain organized bid tracking and estimating documentation Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers Must-Haves as the Estimator - Excavation and Sitework: 5+ years of estimating experience in excavation, civil construction, or sitework Strong ability to read and interpret civil drawings and construction plans Solid understanding of excavation methods, equipment, and underground utility installation Experience preparing detailed takeoffs and written proposals Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment Nice-to-Haves as the Estimator - Excavation and Sitework: Prior field experience such as Foreman, Operator, or Project Manager Experience with residential and commercial site development Knowledge of septic systems, drainage solutions, and foundation excavation Familiarity with underground sewer and water installation Benefits Offered: Competitive base salary based on experience Strong and consistent pipeline of incoming bid opportunities High-visibility role with direct access to ownership Stable, growth-oriented work environment Long-term career opportunity with a respected regional contractor Trueline and its clients are unabashed equal-opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
