This role supports oil, gas, and water separation operations, with a strong emphasis on field execution, troubleshooting, and facility startup activities. Candidates with new facility startup experience are highly preferred.Tasks & ResponsibilitiesMaintain personal safety and ensure safety of all personnel; follow and enforce all safety procedures Serve as primary operations contact for assigned facilities Understand process flow, unit chemistry, equipment line-ups, and safety systems including isolation points Monitor and optimize operations using computer systems and schematics Conduct routine field inspections using sight, sound, smell, and touch to ensure proper equipment operation Issue Safe Work Permits with strong understanding of current operating conditions and associated risks Perform gas testing to ensure safe conditions for maintenance work Execute process monitoring activities including: Tank gauging Meter readings Data recording Product sampling Monitoring differential pressure and chemical injection rates Identifying leaks, freezing, overheating, and other anomalies Perform visual maintenance by monitoring key parameters (temperature, pressure, flow, vibration, levels) Adjust process conditions to maintain optimal operating performance and product specifications Maintain accurate gauge sheets and document production changes Verify control valve positions and system configurations Perform basic maintenance (lubrication, filter changes, tightening packing, clearing equipment, etc.) Coordinate oil sales and saltwater hauling as needed Maintain company vehicle in good working condition Communicate regularly with Production Foreman regarding process conditions and changes Support equipment winterization and summerization efforts Utilize handheld and computer-based monitoring tools for field diagnostics Inspect safety equipment including valves, extinguishers, hoses, and breathing apparatus Execute work in compliance with environmental policies, minimizing emissions and spills Participate in continuous improvement initiatives Maintain strong attendance and ability to work independently while supporting team objectives Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma required Prior experience in a similar oil & gas operations role preferred Ability to work rotating 7/7 night shift schedule Available for callouts as needed Strong troubleshooting and hands-on mechanical aptitude Experience with surface equipment maintenance and operations Familiarity with SCADA systems and data trending Ability to diagnose and resolve alarms in real-time Comfortable working independently in field environments Proficient with computers; strong written and verbal communication skills Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and climbing ladders/stairs Ability to use SCBA and other safety equipment Manager NotesHands-on troubleshooting role focused on surface equipment Night shift = reduced administrative workload, more field-focused Strong emphasis on alarm diagnostics and resolution SCADA-based data trending experience preferred Must be comfortable working independently
