In-office, work-from-home, or hybrid, depending on position and location.Job DetailsThe Senior Auditor role ensures successful completion of assigned audit assignments, from start to finish, inclusive of preplanning and wrap up activities. Depending on assigned engagement, the Senior Auditor will report to one or more member(s) of the A&A leadership team. This role manages and directs daily activities of more junior auditors assigned to assist the Supervising Auditor during an engagement. They apply risk and control concepts to scenarios they encounter, and then identifies any potential issues. The Senior Auditor also communicates identified issues with the A&A leadership team to ensure any potential concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Conducts assigned audit engagements successfully from beginning to endIdentifies and communicates issues raised, offering recommended solutions relevant to business and riskSupervises junior auditors assigned to engagements, providing guidance and overall review of deliverablesEnsures audit conclusions are based on a complete understanding of the process, circumstances and riskDevelops audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectivesObtains and reviews evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well-documentedEnsures adherence at all times to all applicable department and professional standardsCommunicates assigned tasks to engagement team in a manner that is clear and concise, ensuring high quality, accurate, and efficient resultsOrganizes personal effort along with those of junior auditors to be risk-based, productive, and efficient at all timesEnsures adequate focus on personal growth relevant to taking on more challenging assignments, in line with standard audit career progression – proactively seeks relevant education and/or training opportunitiesRequired Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's Degree in AccountingMinimum 3+ years of audit and public accounting experienceCurrent CPA or plans to complete in near futureStrong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office programsExperience with accounting/audit software such as Caseware or similarHigh level of organization, focus, exceptional attention to detail, and strong follow-up skillsStrong interpersonal and relationship building skillsWillingness to take supervision and guidanceTeam management skills – the ability to coach, motivate, and direct a team of peopleTeam player with a positive "can-do" attitudeCreative problem-solving abilityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience in the delivery of quality client serviceInterested in hearing more?
