Data Engineer Duration: 12M ContractLocation: 100% RemoteProject Scope / Components:This team will be part of a large-scale rationalization effort for Optum's claims management systems. There are currently multiple different workstreams and case management systems where claims land to go through the adjudication process – they are looking to unify these systems & workstreams in order to increase efficiency and help with cost savingsTeam Size & Breakdown:Small Agile teamWorking with Ignacio, and PM, 2 BSA, Data Analyst/Tableau Devs, and the Data EngineerHigh-Level Individual Duties:Develop new physical models for the workstreams, work through Proof of Concepts and determine if the model will suffice in the long-termDetermine how to pull data and which data to pull, then perform ETLTake feedback on the models from the data analysts and adjust accordinglyMust-Haves (Concepts & Tools):ETL experience – open to any toolSnowflake – 2 years of experience will sufficeSQL for stored proceduresNice-to-Haves (Concepts & Tools):Azure and Azure Data Factory – will likely be using Azure as they cloud platform, but this is not set in stone
