Electrical Test Engineer

Avanciers is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Test Engineer for an exciting opportunity with one of our Fortune 500 clients, based in Richmond, VA.Role: Electrical Test EngineerLocation Richmond, VA (Onsite)|Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with electrical safety standards while working on equipment and supporting field teams.Analyze customer-returned defective products and prepare detailed root cause / 8D reports.Work with field service and quality teams to implement containment and corrective actions.Visit customer sites to troubleshoot issues, provide technical support, and collect defective materials.Perform root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives for product quality and operational efficiency.Support testing, troubleshooting, and servicing of electrical distribution and control systems.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.2+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or electrical systems environment.Hands-on experience with transformers, PDUs, STSs, UPS systems, or similar electrical equipment.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and PCB assembly drawings.Experience using test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and power analyzers.Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred.Familiarity with industry standards such as UL, IEEE, NEMA, or CSA is a plus.Experience with MS Power Platform is an added advantage.
