Assembler
Our client is currently seeking a dependable Furniture Assembler to support warehouse operations and on-site deliveries in Independence, MO. This role builds and stages furniture before installation, ensuring every piece meets quality standards before it reaches the customer. You’ll handle incoming shipments, maintain orderly storage, and contribute to a clean, safe workspace.
The Day-to-Day:
Receive, offload, stage, store, and label incoming materials with accurate documentation.
Pre-build furniture for distribution to job sites, ensuring fit, finish, and stability.
Inspect deliveries for accuracy and condition; promptly report discrepancies or damage to the Director of Operations.
Maintain awareness of warehouse surroundings to promote safety and efficient flow.
Use hand and power tools (e.g., screwdrivers, drills, measuring tapes) to perform high-quality assembly.
Keep work areas tidy by removing packaging, unused hardware, and scrap materials.
Troubleshoot assembly issues and report punch items to the install lead for resolution.
Provide professional, courteous on-site support that reflects premium White Glove Service standards.
Document work as needed and follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Prior furniture assembly experience preferred.
Proven proficiency with common hand tools and power tools.
Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach.
Pay Rate:
$20.50 /hour
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
