This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer who enjoys hands-on engineering work, project coordination, and supporting the construction and maintenance of natural gas facilities.The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication and critical-thinking skills who can work both independently and collaboratively across engineering, construction, and project teams.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the planning and design of natural gas distribution infrastructure projects.Work on assignments involving gas storage facilities and gas fueling stations.Assist with the design of pipeline components, systems, and related infrastructure.Support the planning, design, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and components.Perform system balances and engineering analyses to identify system constraints, low points, and potential solutions.Assist with evaluating engineering alternatives and determining appropriate solutions to system issues.Provide engineering oversight and support during construction activities.Coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and construction personnel throughout project execution.Participate in site visits, construction meetings, trainings, and other project-related activities.Utilize CAD and GIS tools to support engineering design and project documentation.Assist with project management activities, including coordination, documentation, scheduling, and communication.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, General Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.1–3 years of progressive engineering experience or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.Project management experience or demonstrated project coordination skills.Basic proficiency with computer-aided design and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).Intermediate proficiency with CAD/GIS tools.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.Ability and willingness to travel locally for site visits, construction meetings, trainings, and other project needs.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization.Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.Preferred QualificationsEngineer in Training (E.I.T.) certification.Previous experience supporting utility, natural gas, pipeline, mechanical, civil, or infrastructure projects.Exposure to construction activities, field engineering, or engineering design projects.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is an early-career engineer who is eager to continue developing their technical and project management skills.
