Fund Accountant – Credit | Boston, MA We are seeking a Fund Accountant to join a fast-growing opportunistic credit firm focused on U.S. middle-market investments. This is a high-visibility role sitting at the intersection of fund accounting, investor reporting, and portfolio performance, with direct exposure to how deal activity flows through fund-level results.Compensation: $85,000-105,000 + bonus What you’ll doOwn key parts of the quarterly close and investor reporting cyclePrepare capital calls, distributions, and investor noticesReview management fees, capital accounts, and fund financials prepared by administratorsSupport expense allocations and fund-level reconciliationsCoordinate with administrators, auditors, and internal stakeholders to resolve reporting itemsMaintain investor records and support investor portal reportingManage audit support and LP confirmationsRespond to ad hoc requests from investors and internal teamsHelp improve reporting workflows using AI and automation tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude)What we’re looking for2–4 years of experience from Big 4/public accounting Strong preference for exposure to private credit, private equity, or closed-end fundsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA (or CPA track) requiredAdvanced Excel and strong analytical skillsInterest in using technology/AI to improve financial processesThis is a great next step for a public accounting professional (PE or credit fund clients) looking to move into a lean team with direct exposure to fund leadership and decision-making.
