This role requires a broad understanding of multiple programming languages and system architectures. The successful candidate will analyze existing applications or formulate new logic, develop procedures, create flowcharts, and debug programs. Maintaining comprehensive documentation and recommending improvements in development, maintenance, and system standards are essential responsibilities. The role involves developing application implementation plans within a flexible development environment, ensuring seamless integration and performance of software solutions.QualificationsCandidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or Management Information Systems, or a related field. A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data is required. Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with two or more modern programming languages—such as Java, Python, .NET, Ruby, or mainframe languages like COBOL and Assembler—are essential. Experience working with various APIs, external services, and both relational (Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, DB2) and NoSQL databases (Hadoop, IMS) is preferred. For senior roles, 8+ years of experience and familiarity with IBM Rational tools are advantageous.ResponsibilitiesThe Software Developer will develop moderately complex code across front-end and back-end platforms, collaborating with business and technology teams to deliver internal and external client solutions. Responsibilities include designing, creating, and delivering program specifications, supporting multiple projects, and understanding application and database interactions. The role involves performing comprehensive analysis, modification, and development of complex code, conducting unit testing, and preparing detailed documentation. The developer will also advise on testing, validation, and corrective actions for code deficiencies, ensuring adherence to security standards such as Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance. Participation in client meetings, vendor discussions, and solution approach determinations is expected. Additionally, the developer will provide guidance on application standards, controls, procedures, and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
