Corporate Litigation Paralegal

Position SummaryThe Litigation Paralegal supports litigation attorneys and the paralegal team, with a primary focus on discovery and trial preparation. This role also provides administrative support across a variety of litigation-related tasks. The candidate must be flexible and available to work overtime as business needs require. This is a hybrid position and may occasionally require travel.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDemonstrates strong knowledge of legal filings, briefing, and cite-checking/Bluebooking standards; applies best practices to ensure accuracy and consistency in formal papers and legal memorandaResponsible for federal court e-filing and related procedural requirementsConducts factual research and development using electronic research tools; coordinates with external vendors as neededSupports trial preparation efforts, including creation of trial notebooks, organization of exhibits, coordination of witness schedules, and maintenance of trial calendars and deadlinesWorks with external platforms to download, organize, and store data using established file-naming conventionsProofreads briefs and other legal documents for accuracy, formatting, and complianceDrafts routine correspondence and memorandaMaintains and updates document databases and case filesAssists with project-based assignments and performs additional duties as requiredSkills & CompetenciesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with a professional demeanor and presentationStrong attention to detail with exceptional organizational and time-management skillsAbility to prioritize workload and adapt in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organizationSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a cross-functional team environmentStrong critical-thinking skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities and change effectivelyQualifications & Prior ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experienceParalegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred8–10 years of experience supporting complex litigation matters; law firm experience strongly preferredProficiency with Windows-based applications and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Experience with e-filing systems and litigation support tools such as Relativity, Lexis, and WestlawExceptional computer and internet research skills, with the ability to quickly learn new software applications
