You'll own day-to-day execution of our social and community presence, with YouTube and Reddit as your primary channels in H1, and grow into broader brand campaign support over time. You'll be Scribd's ears on the ground, and increasingly, a voice that shapes how we show up in culture.What You'll DoChannel OwnershipOwn Scribd's presence on social media (YouTube and Reddit) that both require consistency and genuine intentOn Reddit, drive thoughtful, value-driven participation across priority subreddits that earns credibility over timeOn YouTube, manage the full content lifecycle, scheduling, publishing, optimization, and comment moderationIdentify content gaps, surface emerging conversations, and flag what's worth responding toProactively pitch content ideas based on what you're seeing in the community that could perform well across all platformsSocial Listening & Audience IntelligenceMonitor Scribd's social and community footprint, and broader conversations using social listening tools and manual listening workflows while also tracking sentimentTranslate what you're hearing into clear, usable insights for brand marketing campaignsHelp inform messaging evolution, content pillars, and campaign directionCampaign Support & CoordinationSupport rollout of brand initiatives across social and community channelsBuild and maintain publishing calendars and execution timelinesCoordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure message consistency from brief to publishOver time, take on a more active role in integrated campaign execution, this role is built to grow beyond socialPerformance Tracking & ReportingBuild and maintain dashboards in Sprout Social across YouTube, Reddit, and other channelsTrack engagement, retention, sentiment, and brand health signalsDeliver weekly and monthly reports with clear insights and optimization recommendationsRun small tests and experiments to improve performance and flag what's working before you're askedWho You Are3–5 years of experience in social media and community managementDeep familiarity with YouTube best practices and analyticsYou understand how Reddit works culturally, not just mechanically, and know why authenticity there isn't optionalProficient in Sprout Social or a comparable platformComfortable moving between quantitative data and qualitative signalHighly organized, and execution-orientedExperience with or exposure to paid social - boosting content, supporting campaign media plans, or coordinating with a paid team. You should understand how paid and organic work together.Bonus: exposure to integrated campaign work, contributing to a launch, coordinating cross-channel rollouts, or working from a creative briefBonus: experience in education, teaching, or working with educator, academics or student communitiesAt Scribd, Inc., your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location. San Francisco is our highest geographic market in the United States.In the state of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $82,500 [minimum salary in our lowest geographic market within California] to $120,000 [maximum salary in our highest geographic market within California].In the United States, outside of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $67,500 [minimum salary in our lowest US geographic market outside of California] to $112,000 [maximum salary in our highest US geographic market outside of California].In Canada, the reasonably expected salary range is between $86,000 CAD[minimum salary in our lowest geographic market] to $105,000 CAD[maximum salary in our highest geographic market].We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including but not limited to experience; job-related skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs. The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply.
