Project Engineer - Construction

Powell Constructors Inc is looking for motivated individuals that wish to make a career with a premier midsize heavy civil construction firm that focuses its efforts on improving our local freeways, bridges and various infrastructure related work. Powell requires a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent work related experience. A minimum of 3 or more years in similar construction is preferred. The applicant must be a team player, have strong organizational skills, solid work ethic and a desire to succeed. Construction Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist with owner relations Assist in pricing contract change orders Maintain contract documents and as-built drawings Maintain change order files and pending items files Prepare progress payments Prepare and maintain project schedules - bar charts and CPM Schedule equipment check and rental rolls Coordinate subcontractors and material supplies - maintain files/submittal log Interpret and advise field personnel on plans and specifications Safety-indoctrinate, tour and hold meetings Project site checks for status of operations Control cost reports Prepare lift drawings and layouts Design temporary structures/forms Salary will commensurate on experience and knowledge.
