Senior Marketing Manager

Mojave Energy Systems is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to take ownership of its established marketing program and expand it to increase demand generation. Mojave engineers and manufactures liquid desiccant air conditioning systems that fundamentally improve how buildings manage humidity and energy. The brand is established, the products are in market, and launch of our second product line is underway. What's missing is the person to drive the marketing function and scale it as we grow the company. About Mojave Energy Systems, Inc.Mojave is changing the nature of air conditioning. Air conditioning consumes ~9% of total global electricity production and results in the emissions of 1 billion tons of carbon dioxide annually. It is time for a change, and Mojave’s liquid desiccant air conditioning systems are doing just that. If you want to change the world by starting with the world of commercial air conditioning, then you may belong at Mojave. We are looking for purpose-driven team members who enjoy problem solving, teamwork, and personal growth in a high-performance, driven culture to join our venture-backed company.About the Position:The Marketing Manager will own and grow Mojave's marketing program, reporting to the VP of Product and working in close coordination with Sales and the company's network of manufacturer's representatives. Mojave has established its brand, core product line, and foundational marketing assets — this role is about taking marketing to the next level as the company launches new products, expands its channel, and scales revenue. When you start, you will be a one-person marketing department. You will set priorities, produce deliverables, manage external contractors across design, web, and PR, and operate with a high degree of autonomy. Success in this role requires someone who is equally comfortable developing strategy and executing against it — writing a press release in the morning, briefing a designer in the afternoon, and presenting a campaign plan to leadership the next day. Long term, you will grow the department as Mojave grows. The role sits at the intersection of product and sales. You will work directly with the VP of Product to translate technical product capabilities into compelling market-facing messaging, and with Sales to develop tools and content that support Mojave's go to market initiatives.  Mojave goes to market almost exclusively through a network of independent manufacturer's representative firms in the U.S. and Latin America.
