Fabric R&D Intern

POSITION SUMMARY: The Fabric R&D Intern will provide support to aid in the seasonal material development process.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Swatch Handling & Submit OrganizationMaintain core swatch archiveReceive and price new selectionsOrganize headers into their appropriate categories & fileSend physical references & color palettes to suppliersManage solid snip chart of SRS color referencesScan selected headers & aid in assigning codesData Entry & Chart UpkeepReceiving Fabric Detail Sheets & updating chartsChecking tracking received from suppliers to ensure accuracyMiscellaneous TasksTake fabric photos for design and merch visual decksHelp steam/organize new garments for fashion week ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:Education in textiles, design, product development, or marketing preferredHighly organized and excellent attention to detailStrong interpersonal skills with a positive, collaborative stylesResourceful self-starter who can work independentlyProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), familiar in Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom)POSITION DETAILS:Salary: $17.00/hourOn-site: 2-3 days a week in office based on calendarInternship length: 3 months minimum This job description is not an exhaustive list of all functions that the employee may be required to perform, and the employee may be required to perform additional functions.
