Facilities (Controls) TechnicianJob LocationsUS-CA-Fort IrwinRequisition ID2026-164064Position CategoryAdministrative & Facilities ServicesClearanceNo Clearance RequiredResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking a Facilities (Controls) Technician to join our team at the Fort Irwin Complex in California to support our Space Communications Network Services Contract (DSN) with NASA.In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and installation of control systems for the GDSCC power generation systems, fire detection systems, UPS, monitoring computer systems, and HVAC systems.The Deep Space Network is NASA's international array of giant radio antennas that supports interplanetary spacecraft missions, plus a few that orbit Earth. The DSN also provides radar and radio astronomy observations that improve our understanding of the solar system and the larger universe. The antennas of the Deep Space Network are the indispensable link to explorers venturing beyond the moon. They provide the crucial connection for commanding our spacecraft and receiving their never-before-seen images and scientific information on Earth, propelling our understanding of the universe, our solar system and ultimately, our place within it.Responsibilities:Perform preventive maintenance.Perform monthly safety inspections of assigned buildings.Troubleshoot equipment utilizing mechanical drawings and electronic schematics.Read and understand PLC ladder logic.Collect and provide analysis of technical data.Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements.Perform other duties as required.Extended workday.Occasional shift work.Must be able to work in Air-Conditioned Computer room for extended shifts.Interface with internal and external customers.QualificationsRequired QualificationsBS 0-2 Years or HS 6-8Experience with electronic troubleshooting, repair and maintenance.You must be able to obtain a trusted background check and pass a National Criminal Information Check (NCIC). Target Salary RangeThe rate / range per hour below represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
