Assistant to the Superintedent and Board of Education

Position SummaryThe Assistant to the Superintendent and Board of Education provides administrative and organizational support to the Superintendent's Office and Board of Education. This position coordinates Board meeting processes, executive scheduling, office operations, and communication workflows while helping ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the Superintendent's Office.The position requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, discretion, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative support to the Superintendent and Superintendent's OfficeManage the Superintendent's calendar, scheduling, meetings, travel, and daily workflow prioritiesPrepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, and other administrative materialsCoordinate logistics and preparation for Superintendent-led meetings, events, and activitiesMaintain office systems, records, workflows, and organizational processes within the Superintendent's OfficeServe as recording secretary and administrative support to the Board of EducationCoordinate Board meeting preparation, including agendas, packets, minutes, notices, and supporting documentationPrepare, distribute, and maintain official Board records, minutes, policies, and governance documentsServe as a point of contact for Board members regarding schedules, materials, and meeting coordinationEnsure compliance with the Open Meetings Act and support FOIA and related records management processesCoordinate Board election materials and communication with local clerks and election officialsAssist with Board communications, Board Briefs, and related materialsSupport district communication and organizational initiatives in collaboration with the Communications DepartmentDemonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, sound judgment, and strong customer service skills in all interactionsPerform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designeeQualificationsBachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience may be consideredMinimum of three to five years of executive administrative support experience preferredExperience supporting Board of Education operations, public-sector administration, or executive leadership preferredStrong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skillsHigh proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and related technology platformsAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detailDemonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgmentKnowledge of Open Meetings Act (OMA), FOIA, FERPA, and Board governance procedures preferred, not requiredSALARY/SCHEDULE$50,369.61Monday through Friday8 Hours Per DayREPORTS TODirector of Communications and Strategic Initatives
