This role ensures efficient billing, coding, collections, and reimbursement processes while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and experienced in managing both front-end and back-end revenue cycle functions in a medical environment.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle, including patient registration, insurance verification, charge capture, coding, billing, accounts receivable, and collectionsMonitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as days in A/R, denial rates, clean claim rates, and collection percentagesManage and mentor billing, coding, and A/R staff to ensure productivity and accuracyAnalyze denial trends and implement corrective actions to reduce claim rejections and improve reimbursementEnsure compliance with payer guidelines, federal and state regulations, and internal policiesCollaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation and coding practicesOversee payer relationships, including issue resolution, contract understanding, and reimbursement optimizationConduct regular audits of billing and coding processes to ensure accuracy and complianceDevelop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and cash flowPrepare and present financial and operational reports to leadershipQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience in revenue cycle management within a physician practice or medical groupStrong knowledge of medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-10), and payer regulationsExperience managing accounts receivable, denial management, and collectionsPrior leadership or supervisory experience requiredFamiliarity with EHR/EMR and practice management systemsPreferred Qualifications:Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR), or similar certificationExperience in multi-specialty or high-volume physician groupsAdvanced proficiency in reporting and data analysis tools (Excel, dashboards, etc.)Key Competencies:Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent leadership and team development abilitiesEffective communication and cross-functional collaborationHigh attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to drive process improvement and operational efficiencyWork Environment:Physician practice or medical group settingMay require occasional interaction with providers, patients, and insurance representativesFast-paced environment with productivity and financial performance goalsInterested in hearing more?
