By joining this team you will be taking part in cutting edge technology used to improve patient outcomes and relieve pain for patients across the globe.We are looking for a a technically strong Software Architect to lead the architectural design and technical strategy of advanced medical imaging and visualization solutions. The ideal candidate should have industry experience with deep expertise in C++, Qt, MITK, VTK, OpenGL, and Linux, and a proven record of driving high-performance, scalable, and maintainable software systems in a collaborative environment.How You'll Create ImpactDefine and drive the overall software architecture for C++/Qt-based medical imaging platformsDesign scalable, modular, and high-performance systems integrating MITK, VTK, OpenGL, and LinuxGuide technical decisions, conduct design and architecture reviews, and ensure adherence to best practicesCollaborate closely with stakeholders across R&D, Product, QA, and UX to align architecture with product goalsProvide technical leadership and mentorship to senior and junior developersIdentify and mitigate architectural risks and ensure system robustness and maintainabilityStay up-to-date of emerging technologies and incorporate relevant innovations into product architectureContribute to strategic planning, technology roadmaps, and long-term platform evolutionEnsure technical documentation is comprehensive What Makes You Stand OutExpertise in MITK and VTK for building medical imaging applicationsStrong understanding of OpenGL for real-time rendering and graphics optimizationExtensive experience with Linux for development and deploymentProven ability to define and document software architectures, interfaces, and system componentsStrong grasp of software design patterns, performance optimization, and large-scale system designFamiliarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (Git)Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills Your BackgroundRequiredBachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience.Hands-on software development experience, including system design and architectureAdvanced proficiency in C++ (with modern standards and best practices)Deep experience with Qt framework (GUI, multithreading, Signals/Slots, custom widgets) Physical RequirementsTravel ExpectationsUp to 15%EOE/M/F/Vet/Disability
