Candidates cannot require sponsorship now or in the future**As a Field Service Engineer - Early Career, you'll take on a hands-on role supporting ASM's advanced semiconductor equipment and helping our customers keep their fabs running at peak performance. You'll build real-world expertise through structured training, mentorship, and on-the-job learning while working directly with technologies that power AI, 5G, cloud computing, and next-generation devices. It's an ideal opportunity for early-career engineers who want to put their education into practice in a high-tech environment where every day brings something new to learn.From your first day, you'll receive training through hands-on guidance from seasoned engineers onsite. You'll work with vacuum systems, plasma, chemical delivery, robotics, sensors, advanced metrology, and complex hardware-software interactions. Your contributions will have a direct impact on tool performance, system uptime, and customer success-playing a meaningful role in enabling leading-edge logic technology nodes. This experience lays a strong foundation for rapid growth, technical mastery, and a variety of long-term career paths within ASM.Shifts available:Shift 4 (6pm-6am)- Sun-Tu and every other SaturdayShift 5 (6am-6pm)- Sun- Tue and every other WednesdayShift 6 (6pm- 6am)- Wed-Fri and every other SaturdayShift 7 (6am- 6pm)- Wed-Sat and every other WednesdayWhat You Will Be Working OnSupport installation, maintenance, and repair of ASM semiconductor equipment at customer sitesTroubleshoot equipment and process issues with guidance from senior engineersDeliver clear, timely, customer-focused support with a strong safety mindsetWorking in cleanroom environments while following strict safety and quality standards.Assist in identifying and contributing to continuous improvement effortsParticipate in customer escalations alongside experienced team membersWhat We Are Looking ForBachelor's or master's degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldCandidates who are hands-on and mechanically curious, energized by complex systems and real-world problem solving, Comfortable working in fast paced, hightech environments & motivated to build a long-term engineering career.Internship, co-op, senior design project, lab research, or hands-on technical experienceAbility to read and interpret basic electronic and electromechanical schematicsUnderstanding of safety protocols and willingness to work in cleanroom environmentsStrong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learnClear communication skills and a strong customer-service mindsetAbility to work independently and collaborativelyWillingness to travel domestically and internationallyProficiency with Microsoft OfficeWhat Sets You ApartDemonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and disciplined executionExposure to semiconductor processes, wafer fabs, robotics, vacuum systems, plasma, or gas handlingExperience writing technical documentation in school or project settingsFamiliarity with customer-facing or support roles (internships, tutoring, help desk, teamwork)Interest in structured problem-solving methods, statistical methods, data analysis.Curiosity and learning orientation when working with advanced semiconductor technologiesParticipation in engineering clubs, competitions, or technical student groupsWhy join ASM?We're looking for engineers who are excited to work hands-on at the crossroads of hardware, software, and cutting-edge process technology.If you love diving into complex systems, bringing structure to ambiguity, and shaping action plans that move real innovation forward-and you want to be part of a fast-growing, disruptive company at the center of the global semiconductor industry-ASM is the place for you.Here, you'll find long-term growth opportunities at the forefront of semiconductor technology.
