Remote Performance Software Engineer

Role OverviewA Performance Software Engineer will lead performance testing, data generation frameworks, and optimization efforts to ensure highly responsive, reliable, and scalable systems. They will analyze application, database, and system behaviors, define performance standards, and guide engineering teams in data-driven improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement performance testing and data frameworks using tools like k6, JavaScript, Grafana, and InfluxDB.Develop technical documentation, standards, and best practices for performance optimization.Collaborate with teams to identify bottlenecks and drive solutions.Partner on scalability strategies and performance benchmarks.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s in Computer Science or related field, with 6+ years in software engineering, including 2+ years in load testing frameworks and JavaScript.Experience in cloud environments (AWS), distributed systems, and container-native setups.Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash), performance tuning, and relational databases like PostgreSQL.Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.This remote role requires candidates in specific US states and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO.
