Data Engineer - Databricks
Revature is hiring experienced data engineers to join a large-scale Databricks platform build supporting federal government programs in the Washington, DC area. Our client is one of the world’s largest technology and consulting firms.This is not a bootcamp and it is not unpaid. You join Revature as a full-time W-2 employee with full benefits on day one. We invest in ten weeks of full-time Databricks specialization at our cost, cover your certification exams, and then deploy you to the client engagement.How the role worksWeeks 1-10: full-time paid Databricks training, delivered remotely. You are a paid, full-time Revature employee with full benefits throughout. No cost to you and no repayment obligation.You earn the Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate and Professional certifications during the program. Revature covers the exam costs.On completion you deploy on-site with the client in the DC metro area. You remain a full-time Revature employee, working as part of the client team.This is a long-term client engagement. Over time there may be an opportunity for the client to hire you directly. That is a possible long-term outcome, not a guaranteed or near-term one.Training is expected to begin in late September 2026, with deployment around December 2026.What we offerCompetitive pay from day one of training. Compensation is discussed early in the process.Medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company matchPaid time off and paid holidaysAll Databricks training and certification costs covered by RevatureWhat you need2-4 years of hands-on data engineering experienceStrong Python and SQLHands-on Apache Spark / PySpark with exposure to DatabricksExperience building production ETL/ELT pipelines, batch and/or streamingGood understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, incremental processing, and data qualityExperience with Git and CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar)Working understanding of the software development lifecycle and production supportAt least one Associate-level or higher AWS, Azure, or GCP certificationAble to work on-site in the Washington, DC metro area from the start of the client engagement, approximately December 2026.
