LEAD TAX ATTORNEY FOR IMMEDIATE HIRE in Beverly Hills, CA office (In-person only)

Position OverviewA growing tax resolution practice is seeking an experienced Tax Attorney to support and advise on complex IRS and state tax matters. This role focuses on tax controversy and administrative resolution, providing legal insight where appropriate and supporting a team of licensed tax professionals handling high-liability cases.This position is best suited for an attorney who understands the distinction between administrative tax work and formal legal representation, and is comfortable operating in a collaborative, in-office environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide legal analysis and guidance on complex federal and state tax mattersReview and advise on:IRS and state auditsCollection matters (liens, levies, wage garnishments)Offer in Compromise (OIC) casesInstallment agreements and hardship determinationsPrepare, review, and submit filings and supporting documentation to the IRS and state tax authorities as appropriate within the scope of representationCommunicate with tax authorities and respond to notices, inquiries, and procedural matters when legal input is requiredSupport case strategy alongside Enrolled Agents, CPAs, and case managersAssist with escalated or sensitive client mattersReview documentation and communications for legal accuracy when neededEnsure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standardsProvide limited-scope legal involvement as necessary (non-litigation unless separately structured)What This Role Is NotNot a remote position — this is a full-time, in-office roleNot a sales positionNot a call-center environmentDoes not require routine litigation or tax court appearancesDoes not involve acting as a marketing or promotional figureRequired Qualifications & ExperienceJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law schoolActive Bar license in good standing (California preferred)3+ years of experience in tax controversy, tax resolution, or related practicePrior experience in tax resolution or tax controversy workFamiliarity with IRS transcripts, procedures, and case workflowsExperience handling multi-year or high-liability tax mattersAbility to work effectively within a team of tax professionalsStrong understanding of:IRS collections and resolution processesAdministrative tax proceduresCompliance and risk managementAbility to analyze complex financial and tax scenariosStrong written and verbal communication skillsCompensationCompensation is commensurate with experience, qualifications, and scope of involvementWork EnvironmentCollaborative, in-office team of tax professionalsStructured case management and compliance-driven workflowOpportunity to work on complex and high-impact mattersHow to ApplyPlease submit:ResumeBrief summary of relevant tax experienceBar license detailsWork Location: In person
