This is a strong remote opportunity for candidates based in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Washington, DC, offering meaningful exposure to complex litigation matters and a collaborative, fast-paced environment.This role plays a critical function in managing court deadlines, filings, and procedural compliance. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in litigation docketing and electronic filing, along with the ability to operate independently while coordinating across distributed teams. Key ResponsibilitiesLitigation Calendaring & Docket ManagementMaintain and update case calendars across jurisdictions using specialized docketing systemsInterpret court notices, filings, and procedural rules to accurately calculate and track deadlinesGenerate recurring and ad hoc reports outlining upcoming case milestonesPartner with attorneys and case teams to ensure calendar accuracy and alignment with litigation strategyConduct periodic reviews of active matters to confirm deadlines are current and properly recordedResearch applicable rules and procedures to support precise deadline calculation and complianceCourt Filings & Procedural SupportHandle end-to-end filing processes in state and federal courts, including electronic submissions and service coordinationReview documents for compliance with court formatting and procedural requirements prior to submissionCoordinate logistics for filings, including timing, resources, and vendor support where applicableMonitor filing confirmations and proactively communicate status updates to legal teamsServe as a point of contact for court-related inquiries, including filing protocols and procedural guidanceFacilitate service of process and distribution of filed materials as neededSystems, Research & OperationsMaintain internal systems with up-to-date case information and filing recordsRetrieve and organize litigation documents from electronic databases upon requestTrack and manage attorney court access credentials and resolve related technical issuesStay current on rule changes across jurisdictions and share relevant updates with internal stakeholdersCollaborate with internal teams to improve processes and mitigate calendaring or filing risksQualificationsHigh school diploma required; bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred2+ years of hands-on electronic filing experience and docketing/calendaring requiredStrong working knowledge of federal, state, and local court rules and proceduresExperience with e-filing platforms (e.g., CM/ECF) and legal research toolsAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)High attention to detail with a track record of accuracy in deadline managementStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teamsAbility to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environmentSelf-directed and comfortable working in a remote, distributed team setting
