In this role, you'll help manage essential People processes — from onboarding and offboarding to maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring all compliance documentation is timely and complete. You will support the full employee lifecycle and help ensure an exceptional experience for every team member. Working closely with managers and cross‑functional teams, you’ll help create an organized, positive employee experience while keeping People Operations efficient and consistent. This is a hands‑on, detail‑driven role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional HR support for a growing, values-driven company. This is an onsite role 5x week in San Leandro.Key ResponsibilitiesPeople Coordination (75%)Assist with end-to-end employee lifecycle processes from onboarding to offboardingCoordinate interviews and support recruiting effortsSupport People programs including Talent and Performance ManagementSupport compliance initiatives connected to employment, safety and benefits regulationsHelp plan, implement and coordinate employee engagement and culture initiatives, internal communications, company events, open enrollment, recognition and wellness initiativesCoordinate a variety of safety, compliance and other People-related trainingsMaintain accurate, audit-ready employee records and HR documentation across all systems, ensuring compliance with I-9, immigration, and recordkeeping requirementsAct as the primary contact for employee questions related to HR Systems and benefitsContribute to cross-functional and ad hoc People Team projects as neededOffice Coordination (25%)Manage our small, growing San Leandro office and serve as the first point of contact for visitorsOversee day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring the physical space is organized, functional, and welcomingManage supplies, inventory, swag and vendor relationshipsPlan and execute in-office events including company gatherings, culture moments, offsites, All Hands, etc.Act as the liaison with the facilities team for repairs, security, janitorial and building needsGreet and host visitors to create a welcoming office experience as well as basic reception and shared phone coverageWhat You’ll Bring2+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in CPGBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent experience.A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for employee experience and creating a welcoming, well-run office environmentBring positive energy, a collaborative mindset, and an eagerness to help othersFully bilingual (English/Spanish, read, write and speak) a plusStrong organizational and time management skills with attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.High sense of urgency and high degree of professionalism, reliability, and follow-throughAbility to handle sensitive information with professionalism and maintain confidentialityExperience with HRIS platforms such as BambooHR or similar toolsHands-on experience managing an office or workplace operations, including vendors, supplies, facilities coordination, or on-site event support a plusWork EnvironmentThe work environment can vary from office settings to production, potentially exposing employees to noise and other environmental factors. Lift objects to 30 lbs.Scheduled Monday – Friday onsite in San Leandro; occasional travel to Oakland facility neededThe hiring range for this position is expected to be between $33 and $37 per hour. Base pay offered will depend on multiple individualized factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's experience, skills, job-related knowledge, and market location.
