As a Project Engineer, you won’t just support projects—you’ll help drive them, collaborating across teams and working directly with customers to bring complex, cutting-edge solutions to life.What You’ll DoAs a Project Engineer, you’ll be at the center of engineering, execution, and innovation:Engineering & DesignDesign and specify bioprocess and clean utility systems for new and upgraded facilitiesCreate and review critical engineering documents (P&IDs, GA drawings, BOMs)Perform calculations for equipment sizing and system validationPartner with designers to ensure equipment meets form, fit, and function expectationsProject Execution & CollaborationSupport Project Managers to deliver projects on time, on budget, and beyond expectationsTrack project scope, costs, and timelines—ensuring nothing falls through the cracksAct as a technical expert and customer point of contact throughout project lifecycleJump in to support project leadership when neededQuality, Testing & DeliveryLead or support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)—both domestic & internationalDevelop test plans and collaborate with customers for approvalsWork closely with Manufacturing and Quality teams to bring designs to realityAutomation & InnovationCollaborate with Automation and Electrical teams on system functionality and communicationsReview and approve documentation like FRS and DDSIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement (CI) and operational efficiencyWhat Makes This Role ExcitingWork on custom-engineered systems that directly impact global healthCollaborate with experts across engineering, automation, manufacturing, and qualityGain hands-on exposure to high-tech biopharma equipment and processesTravel to customer sites and see your work in actionWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Biological, or similar)3+ years of engineering experience (5+ preferred in biopharma, piping, or custom equipment)Experience supporting equipment manufacturing, testing, or automation is a strong plusStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environmentFamiliarity with Continuous Improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma is a bonusWhy ABEC?At ABEC, you’ll be part of a team that’s pushing the boundaries of biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
