As an important part of the Engineering team here at LTTS, you will actively be providing critical value to our customers by performing project engineering tasks to coordinate and drive results of critical aerospace projects.This role will work with our client’s team, as well as our major aerospace customer, following Engineering Standard Work to coordinate across corporate engineering disciplines to meet schedule, cost, and process compliance requirements. You will own the overall success and progress of the project.Primary ResponsibilitiesOwn the schedule, cost, performance, and process for driving success on cross-functional aerospace engineering projects.Manage the design and integration of complex assembliesHost and coordinate integrated product team meetings with key stakeholdersDevelop and participate in product design reviewsAct as the customer representative and main point of contact to their external customersMaintain an ongoing action item tracker and hold stakeholders accountable to drive on-time action item closureGenerate status reports and present project status to external and internal stakeholders on a regular basisProactively identify project scope, budget, and schedule risks and implement strategies to minimize risk and overcome project success barriers.Follow defined processes to update and maintain customer systems and databases (including PLM software) with the latest project statusParticipate in ad-hoc project engineering initiatives, such as failure investigations (RRCAs), engineering changes (configuration management), earned value management systems (EVMS), Quality investigations, support testing activities and initiativesLeverage your engineering knowledge to have informed, technical discussions across engineering groups to have a thorough understanding of technical project performanceEscalate project barriers and risks as neededOwn and maintain all project documentationCoordinate with suppliers as neededFollow all required standard work, and adhere to all compliance and regulation requirementsBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering5+ year(s) of relevant experienceDirect experience acting as a project engineer or IPT LeadExperience working with Teamcenter or other PLM softwareAbility to proactively take action to drive on-time resultsOutstanding communication and technical writing skillsHave demonstrated mechanical aptitudeExcellent customer service skillsMust be a U.S. CitizenPreferred QualificationsExperience managing projects through the engineering design processAn understanding of engineering outsourcing business practicesExperience with gearboxes, turbine starters, pumps and other turbine componentsExperience writing or creating standard work, establishing processes, and documenting lessons learnedExperience with REACH requirementsAn alignment with LTTS company values, including: Being Purposeful, Ethics & Integrity, Caring, A Culture of Learning, and Results with Accountability.
