Best Company.Job SummaryOversee accounting and Reporting for the Company's Investments.Duties and ResponsibilitiesReconcile e-investment holdings and activity to supporting reports and custodial accounts.Accounting for the Company's private investment portfolio including equity method investments in renewable energy and limited partnerships.Monthly close process - preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, review of trial balance, financial statement preparation including analytics.Prepare quarter-end financial reporting packages and schedules.Assist with the Company's SEC filings and NAIC Statements.Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and other special projects as needed.Adherence to Company internal controls and accounting policies.Provide client assistance as needed for internal and external audits.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesIntermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft ExcelStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of both GAAP and Statutory Accounting StandardsExperience and EducationSr. AccountantBachelor's degree in accounting required2-3 years of relevant experienceCPA or CPA candidate preferredProperty and Casualty insurance experience a plusExperience with Clearwater Analytics, LLC a plusInvestment accounting experience a plusSEC reporting experience a plusStaff Accountant IIBachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related requiredCPA designation strongly preferredFive years' experience in corporate and/or public accountancy or finance roles requiredTwo years of hands-on accounting experience within the Property and Casualty Insurance industry strongly preferredStaff AccountantBachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related requiredThree years' experience in corporate and/or public accountancy or finance roles requiredWorking towards CPA designation a plusHands-on accounting experience within the Property and Casualty Insurance industry desired, but not required#LI-JB1#LI-RemotePlease note that this position is not eligible for H-1B visa sponsorship.All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future H-1B sponsorship.
