Medical Group Finance Manager

The Medical Group Finance Manager will lead end-to-end healthcare finance operations for a multi-specialty physician practice, optimizing revenue cycle performance (charge capture, coding/CPT-ICD-10 accuracy, denials prevention, AR days, cash flow), managing FP&A (annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, service line profitability, capital planning), and ensuring accurate GAAP month-end close (journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, variance analysis). Daily responsibilities include reviewing KPI dashboards, payer mix and reimbursement trends, monitoring EOB/EDI workflows, approving expenses, modeling provider productivity and compensation (wRVU analytics), preparing practice-level P&L reports, partnering with clinic administrators on staffing and cost containment, driving process improvements and automation across EHR/PM and ERP systems (e.g., Epic, athenahealth, Workday), supervising analysts/accountants, maintaining internal controls and audit readiness, and presenting actionable insights to executive leadership; additional duties span contract and fee schedule analysis, revenue integrity reviews, cash posting oversight, ad hoc pro formas for new services or sites, and cross-functional collaboration with operations, billing, and compliance to elevate patient access, financial sustainability, and growth.
