Your New Role – Agency Deputy Director
The Office of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman is searching for an energetic and visionary Deputy Director to partner with the Agency Director in leading a dynamic and evolving organization. In this high-impact role, the Deputy Director will spearhead the implementation of the agency's mission, drive innovative programs, and oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring that policies and initiatives align with long-term strategic goals. As a key decision-maker, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of long-term care and residential facilities advocacy, as well as public guardianship, by managing resources effectively, and setting agency-wide priorities. This position offers the opportunity to lead with purpose, making a lasting impact while serving as the Director in their absence.

Minimum Qualifications Required:
Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience; OR three years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Desired Attributes:
Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, set and execute strategic goals, and implement policies that align with the agency’s mission and government directives.
Expertise in formulating, analyzing, and assessing policies, ensuring compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
Proven experience in budget preparation, resource management, and advocating for necessary funding to meet program objectives.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and represent the agency to public officials and community groups.
Competency in overseeing data management systems, ensuring data integrity and reporting accuracy, and utilizing data to drive decision-making and improve agency performance.
